Jake

Sweet Jake is a male Poodle mix (Maltipoo or Shihpoo) and his momma is very sick so she can no longer care for him. He is estimated to be around 3-5 years old and weighs 16 pounds. He is used to having a small yard and can potty/walk on the leash. Jake is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, groomed, heart worm negative, wormed, and started on heartworm/flea prevention meds. He is friendly with other small dogs, likes to play, and be loved on! Jake is not really barky

but will let you know when he needs to go out. This baby is just a sweet boy all around! Jake has an adoption fee of $250 and is ready for a home visit with a loving family. If you are interested in Jake, apply for adoption by completing the 4 PAGE APPLICATION below. We will select the best home for this precious girl based on her needs.

  • Linus

Linus had a bad start to his life but it has totally turned around! A senior man bred his female Maltese that had 5 puppies. He obtained homes for 3 of them. The last two, a female & male, that remained were being eaten alive by a flea infestation. The female succumbed to the blood loss/anemia and died. After that, he called us to save the last puppy. A foster raced to get the puppy to our vet. An examination could not even be done until a flea bath was given. The fleas were crawling in his eyes, ears, and covered his fur which had a pinkish tone from the numerous bites/blood. Linus is now a healthy 3 pounds because his foster feeds him watered down wet food, rubbed coconut oil on his sores, and nursed him thru his darkest days.

Linus is a male Maltese mix and has had 2 vaccines, a bordetella, and two wormings. He is ready for a loving home without small children or dogs over 12 pounds because he is afraid of them. This boy is loving, laid back, snuggly, and very tiny! Linus has an adoption fee of $300 and must be adopted locally to complete his vetting until neutered. He has fought hard to have a long beautiful life that he so deserves! If you are interested in Linus, apply for adoption by completing the 4 PAGE APPLICATION below. We will select the best home for this precious girl based on her needs.

  • Lizzy

Lizzie is a gorgeous female Pomeranian with a beautiful full sable coat. She is around 6 years old and weighs 12 pounds. She is over weight and needs to lose a few pounds so we are hoping she gets a family that likes to take long walks and is disciplined enough to not feed table scraps! Lizzie is playful, sweet, and fine with other small dogs although she really just cares about her people. This little girl has had a dental, wormed, spayed, tested negative for heart worms, vaccinated, groomed, and started on preventives.

Lizzie is in rescue because her human passed away and nobody in the family would care for her, this happens often. Lizzie was terrified when she came into rescue. She was almost shut down; tail tucked, scared bulging eyes, coward in the corners, panted and paced for 2 days, would not eat. As terrified as she was, she NEVER showed any signs of aggression toward the other dogs or people. In just one week, she has come a LONG way. She is now eating, tail is up over her back, she sleeps with her crate open, comes up for belly rubs and ear scratches, lays on the couch with her foster people, and LOVES to play with squeaky toys

Pomeranians need a consistant grooming routine and brushing to stay beautiful. Lizzie would be a great loyal only dog, needs a fenced yard to roam in, and would REALLY like a person home all day with her due to her separation anxiety. Lizzie has an adoption fee of $190 and is ready for a forever home that is patient with her. If you are interested in Lizzie, apply for adoption by completing the 4 PAGE APPLICAIONN below. We will select the best home for this precious girl based on her needs.

  • Lucky

Talk about personality plus...this 3 year old female 8 pound Yorkiepoo is precious. Lucky is her name and she got lucky the day a MSP foster pulled her from a loud/over crowded shelter! Her coat is kinda wavy/curly, non shedding and super soft. She is now spayed, tested negative for heartworms, vaccinated, microchipped, wormed, started on flea/heartworm meds, and groomed. She is frisky like a terrier and smart like a Poodle but loves to snuggle during down time. Lucky has good house manners, is fine with other small dogs, and needs a fence because she has gotten lost once already... trying to say hello to all the neighborhood! Terriers do love to run.

Lucky girl is great on the leash and loves her walks with her human. We would recommend a harness because it is easy to slip out of a collar. Lucky has a adoption fee of $225 and is ready for a furever family to call her own. If you are interested in Lucky, apply for adoption by completing the 4 PAGE APPLICATION below. We will select the best home for this precious girl based on her needs.

  • Maggie

Maggie Mae is an 11 month old female Shih tzu or Shih tzu mix. She has a caramel colored coat with dark gray on her nose. She will require lots of brushing and frequent grooming that can be quite expensive. Maggie weighs 10 pounds but is under weight. Maggie Mae is a sweet playful pup, loves other small dogs, would be good with children over 7 years old. She knows some commands and has the general idea of potty training.

Maggie Mae requires a safe fenced yard since she will wander off. If you work outside the home and Maggie would be left alone all day, she needs a playful dog to be with for companionship. She will initiate play so no senior dogs for her to bother all day while you are gone. Maggie Mae is now spayed, 3 baby teeth pulled, microchipped, vaccinated, heart worm negative, flea/heartworm meds, and wormed. Maggie Mae is a true gentle southern bell and has an adoption fee of $250. If you are interested in Maggie Mae, apply for adoption by completing the 4 PAGE APPLICATION below. We will select the best home for this precious girl based on her needs.

  • Wilson

Wilson is a senior tiny 5 pound male Yorkshire Terrier that was posted on Craig's List for free. A lady took him under her wing and asked MSP for medical help for him. Wilson needed dental surgery, had ear infections, his coat was sparse, and he was too thin. He now is back in good shape!! If you have a love of the Yorkie breed and would love a little Cuddler, consider giving this little guy a forever home.

He is a good baby, ready for a lap and has an adoption fee of $90. He will do best on wet food or soaked dry to help him eat since the vet did take out a few teeth. Please, if you have a calm home and need a little non shedding honey to love let us know! If you are interested in Wilson, apply for adoption by completing the 4 PAGE APPLICATION below. We will select the best home for this precious girl based on her needs.

  • Zoie

We are in love with this precious pup! This classic black & white female Shih tzu puppy is a total darling. She is 7-8 months old and has huge round eyes with the flattest little face. Her face is so flat that she would need to be watched and protected from the heat on hot summer days. Zoie is 7.5 pounds so she will do best with smaller size dogs and children with gentle hands 8 years old or up. She was given up due to no time to potty train and getting ready to move.

Zoie is very social, playful, and has really sharp baby teeth! This breed requires tons of grooming, home brushing, and it's not her favorite thing to have done. Zoie is now spayed, Heartworm negative, wormed, vaccinated, rabies, microchipped, and started on flea meds. This dog requires a safe fenced yard because potty training her will be easier that way. Zoie has an adoption fee of $300 and needs someone home a lot that doesn't mind her playful nature! If you are interested in Zoie, apply for adoption by completing the 4 PAGE APPLICATION below. We will select the best home for this precious girl based on her needs.
